Child Safety Standards

Fazool is a Muslim marriage app exclusively for adults. We are committed to maintaining a safe platform and to the prevention of child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) in all forms. This page describes the standards and practices we follow to protect minors and comply with applicable child safety laws.

Fazool is strictly for users aged 18 and older. We enforce this through multiple layers:

• Date-of-birth gate: users must enter a date of birth confirming they are at least 18 years old during registration. Accounts created with a date of birth below 18 are rejected.
• Government ID verification: users who complete identity verification submit a photo of a government-issued ID. Our system confirms the user's real name, date of birth, and minimum age before granting a verified badge.
• Profile review: our moderation team reviews profile photos for compliance with age and content policies. Profiles that appear to belong to a minor are suspended immediately pending investigation.
• Platform age verification: on supported devices, we receive age signals from your device's app store (Google Play or Apple App Store) as an additional verification layer. If the app store confirms you are under 18 or using a supervised (parental) account, access is denied. This is part of our compliance with applicable age verification laws, including the Texas App Store Accountability Act (SB 2420).

The following are strictly prohibited on Fazool and will result in immediate account termination and, where required by law, reporting to the relevant authorities:

• Any content that sexually exploits or abuses a minor (CSAM).
• Grooming behavior or any communication that sexualizes a minor.
• Sharing, distributing, or soliciting child sexual abuse material.
• Attempts to circumvent age verification or impersonate an adult.

Automated scanning

All photos uploaded to Fazool are scanned using industry-standard hash-matching technology to detect known CSAM before the image is stored or made visible to any user.

Human review

Our moderation team reviews flagged content, reported profiles, and identity verification submissions. Reviewers are trained on child safety policies and required to report CSAM to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) and equivalent authorities in other jurisdictions.

Message monitoring

Messages that are reported by users are reviewed by our team. We do not use end-to-end encryption for messages, which allows us to investigate reports of harmful content and cooperate fully with law enforcement.

Every user profile and conversation on Fazool has a report button. Reports are reviewed by our moderation team within 24 hours. Reporters can flag concerns under categories including "Underage user" and "Inappropriate content."

Users can also block any account, which immediately prevents all further contact and flags the account for review.

Fazool complies with all applicable laws requiring the reporting of CSAM and child exploitation. This includes:

• United States: reports are made to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline as required under 18 U.S.C. § 2258A.
• Other jurisdictions: we cooperate with national and regional authorities in all countries where Fazool operates, as required by local law.

We preserve relevant evidence and respond promptly to lawful requests from law enforcement.

Our designated child safety point of contact is available to speak with law enforcement, regulators, and researchers about our CSAE prevention practices and compliance.
